Why is it so surprising that Churches are supporting Palestinian freedom? Palestinians are not just Muslims - there are Palestinian Christians and yes, even Palestinian Jews. Bethlehem, is the birthplace of the Prophet Jesus and is home to countless Palestinians - so again, why wouldn’t Christians support the cause? Am I missing something? Anytime anyone speaks out against Israel it is either considered to be anti-Semitic or ‘propaganda’ as Rain-man in this video repeated over and over again. I will venture to say that I was among the first on Tumblr to post info in regards to Coldplay’s link to the ‘Freedom For Palestine’ single, because I caught it in my Facebook news feed the minute it was up. I read the comments until my eyes were blurred with tears - a combination of joy and sadness. Joy; that the world is finally waking up and there are so many knowledgeable NON-MUSLIM, NON-ARABIC, NON-PALESTINIAN people out there who were taking a stand. Sadness; stemming from the fact that there are so many Zionists out there who have so much hatred towards my people, my nationality and ultimately, hatred for me, because we are all Palestine. The world is opening its eyes - America, “the home of the free”, I would have thought that you would have been among the first to AT LEAST acknowledge the endless human rights violations, as well as the unwarranted occupancy. The time to act is now.
